Dans les années 1970, sur une petite ile, que l’on appelle Amtae-do (Le Grand Rocher), Sujung (13), élevée d’une main de fer par sa mère, découvre par hasard le corps d’un bébé brûlé dans la montagne. Ne trouvant personne pour l’écouter et troublée par ce qu’elle a vu, elle décide de retourner dans la montagne.

In the 1970s, on a small island called Amtae-do (The Big Rock), Sujung (13), raised with an iron fist by her mother, accidentally discovers the body of a burnt baby in the mountains. Finding no one to listen to her and troubled by what she has seen, she decides to return to the mountains.
