An enclosure of six windows, an impossible place, a latent space : elaborated through different tools, the film starts from the premise of the waiting room. This short inquiry into a straightforward set-up and symbolic enclosure unfolds as a metaphor that gives sound to some of the most basic yet lifeless of our existential concerns. Gramsci winkingly called writings that deal with big abstract problems „brief notes on the universe,” something that would be better left to those with decades of experience. And yet, that something also pertains to the kind of thinking one engages in when no distraction is available. We’re all waiting for the cat to die, or not.
